Magellanic Penguins / Wildlife Conservation
Magellanic Penguins (Spheniscus magellanicus) (Magellanics) are a species of penguins. All penguins are black and white, called counter-shading, an ideal camouflage. Being black and white makes it harder for their predators and prey to see them. When penguins are in the water, their white chests camouflage them from being seen from below against the lighter sky, and from above, their black backs help them blend into the darker blue ocean.
